നെടുങ്ങോലം കേന്ദ്രീകരിച്ച് 1948 ല്‍ നെയ്ത് സഹകരണസംഘം ആയി പ്രവര്‍ത്തനം ആരംഭിച്ച് 1969 ല്‍ സര്‍വീസ് സഹകരണബാങ്കായി ഇന്നിപ്പോള്‍ കേരളത്തിലെ പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ട സഹകരണബാങ്കുകളില്‍ ഒന്നായി ക്ലാസ്സ്‌ 1 സൂപ്പര്‍ ഗ്രേഡില്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിച്ചു വരുന്നു. ബാങ്കില്‍ ഇപ്പോള്‍ 24000 ഓളം A ക്ലാസ്സ്‌ അംഗങ്ങളും 2.5 കോടി ഓഹരി മൂലധനവും 155 കോടി നിക്ഷേപവും 130 കോടി വായപ ബാക്കി നില്‍പ്പും ഉണ്ട്.
